Dimitris started diving in 1980 and started his professional career in 1986 by managing and training at diving schools and diving centers.
He has worked as a trainer for Scuba Divers and Instructors in many places in Greece.
From 1989 until 1994, he took part in many swimming championships and won many gold medals.
He worked in the Greek Diving Federation from 1989 until 2004 as a trainer and a manager of the courses for instructors. During this time, he wrote diving training manuals, many of which are still in use today.
In 1999 he made the first Training Video for Scuba Divers in Greece, with the title “Scuba diving and its secrets”.
For about 10 years he was a partner in greek magazines such as “Diving” and “Greek Diver”, writing articles to do with diving.
He has been a member of PADI for over 30 years and is one of Bureau Veritas chosen dive center partners in Greece.
Dimitri has also attended every Hyperbaric and diving medicine seminar the Greek Navy has held since 1990 and is a partner of the University of Crete, teaching the students a medical course called “Doctoring in Work Habitats” which has to do with diving accidents.
He works with the Hellenic Police, training policemen in first aid and with the Hellenic Coast guard as a diver at wreck and accident sites.
